About
The King’s Project was born many years ago as an idea to create an epicenter for holistic wellness in the South for black and brown communities.
The King’s Project was founded by Tyisha Henderson, a faith-driven wellness advocate dedicated to serving underserved communities and corporate spaces. As a certified 200-hour registered yoga teacher, I am passionate about integrating faith and mindfulness to promote healing and balance in both community and workplace settings. With years of experience in education and the nonprofit sector, I have led mindfulness exercises for elementary and high school students, as well as faculty and staff, creating a foundation of peace, focus, and spiritual well-being that enhances both teaching and learning environments.
As a certified Community-Based Doula through Birth Matters Spartanburg (2024), I believe faith and wellness go hand in hand, especially in maternal health. Currently, I am shadowing a traditional West African midwife to combine Western medicine with natural, ancestral practices, ensuring that pregnancy and birth are rooted in both holistic care and divine guidance. My mission is to bridge faith, wellness, and generational wisdom to support women and families on their journey to health and wholeness.

Meet Tyisha Henderson
I am a dedicated yogi and wellness advocate committed to bridging faith and health. My mission is to provide faith-centered, people-focused strategies to prevent diseases like cardiovascular issues, diabetes, and cancer.
Growing up in South Carolina, I witnessed how faith and community are deeply connected. Through The King’s Project, I strive to close the gap between faith and wellness, with a special focus on Black maternal health and mortality.
Join me on this journey—“Come home to your wellness”.
